Norton® Bear-Tex® 1000 Series 6" Dia Medium Grit Silicon Carbide Long Life Rapid Finish Convolute Wheel with 1" arbor has open web construction that provides smear-proof and cool cutting on light debarring applications. 8 Density wheel with 1" thickness and 6000 RPM is designed for burr and flashing removal, surface roughness reduction, blending weld areas on stainless steel, blending scratch patterns, weld polishing, applying decorative finishes including antique patterns, removing rust and oxides. It is formed by wrapping and bonding web material impregnated with abrasive grain and resin around a center core. Non-metallic wheel has no contamination of work piece and features durable construction that provides enhanced cut rate and shed resistance. Waterproof wheel can use with dry, wet or oil surfaces and provides less operator fatigue. Conformable wheel is flexible and offers consistent, high quality results.
