- 3M™ PTFE Series 5490 3.7 mil Gray Film Tape measuring 3/4" X 36 yd has silicone adhesive for good instant adhesion. Tape has extruded backing for high tensile strength and is used in lay flat applications, automotive, aerospace, appliance, military, government, defense, marine, metal finishing, electronics, recreational vehicle, general Industries, roller wrapping, wire harnessing, squeak reduction, noise reduction, insulating, lining, shielding, protecting, composite bonding and flash breaking. It can withstand temperature from -65 to 400 deg F and 22 lb/in tensile strength. Film tape is anti-stick, reduces friction, easy to release, chemical resistance, chemical barrier, abrasion resistance, resists curling, high performance and conformable.
