  • Lincoln Electric® Murematic® S6 ER70S-6 Carbon Steel MIG Welding Wire is suitable for welding on metals that has a medium-to-high presence of dirt, rust or mill scale. General purpose wire with a 0.045" is coated with copper for longer contact tip life and better arc-starting characteristics. It finds application in industries, farming, construction and mining equipment. Wire with low carbon, high manganese and very high silicon displays good puddle fluidity and spatter control. A flat weld bead profile is used to reduce defects, scrap or re-work while multi-pass welds can be achieved by using CO2 or argon based shielding gas. Superior wetting characteristics of the wire produces a slag-free weld that requires minimal cleanup and it comes in a 500 lb Accu-Trak® drum.
