- Lincoln Electric® Fleetweld® 5P Carbon Steel Electrode measuring 1/8" is ideally designed for welding on dirty, rusty, greasy and painted steel particularly in vertical or overhead plate welding applications. It has light slag with minimal slag interference to provide easy arc control and deep penetration with maximum admixture for strong welds. It can be made especially for welding carbon steel, general-purpose fabrication and maintenance welding, pipe welding-cross-country, in-plant and non-critical small diameter piping, joints requiring deep penetration such as square edge butts, sheet metal edge, corner and butt welds applications. It comes in a 50 lb easy open can.
