Item Details
- SPECIAL METALS Monel® 190 ENiCu-7 1/8" Dia X 14" Nickel Alloy Welding Electrode comes in 10 lb hermetically sealed container and offers excellent corrosion resistance. Welding electrode is ideal for shielded metal arc welding of MONEL alloys 400/R-405/K-500 and joining dissimilar joints between low alloy carbon steel, nickel copper alloys and carbon steel. It meets AWS, ASME and ISO standards. Electrode makes use of direct current and provides excellent operability for groove/fillet welding in the downhand position.

Applications
- MONEL Welding Electrode 190 is used for shielded-metal-arc welding of MONEL alloys 400, R-405, and K-500
- It is also used for surfacing of steel. T he weld metal is resistant to corrosion by sea water, salts, and reducing acids
- The electrode is capable of producing weld deposits that meet stringent radiographic requirements
- A l though the electrode produces sound joints in MONEL alloy K-500, the weld meta l has lower strength since, unlike the base metal, it is not age hardenable
- Dissimilar-welding applications for MONEL Welding Electrode 190 include joints between MONEL nickel-copper alloys and carbon steel, low-alloy carbon steel, copper, and copper-nickel alloys
Caution
- Keep your head out of the fumes
- Use enough ventilation or exhaust at the arc to keep fumes and gases from your breathing zone, and the general area
- Wear correct eye, ear and body protection
- Do not touch live electrical parts
